Our Bridge Team and Projects
Tighe & Bond’s bridge team brings deep technical expertise and a practical, collaborative mindset to the planning, design, inspection, and rehabilitation of bridges across the region. Known for tackling complex structural challenges with smart, cost-effective solutions, the team partners closely with clients to extend service life, improve safety, and minimize disruptions to the traveling public. With experience supporting municipal and state agencies, they combine strong engineering fundamentals with real-world constructability and a clear understanding of regulatory requirements—delivering bridges that are resilient, reliable, and built to serve communities for decades.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a valuable part of our Transportation team, a Project Manager 2 will manage the planning, design, and delivery of bridge projects from concept through construction, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with clients and internal teams. You’ll also provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff, contribute to proposals and business development efforts, and help advance Tighe & Bond’s bridge practice. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license – required (New Hampshire licensure or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
13+ years of experience in bridge design, project delivery, and client coordination
Strong working knowledge of NHDOT bridge and structural standards, AASHTO LRFD and applicable permitting and regulatory requirements
Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., MIDAS, STAAD, LARSA) and CAD tools (e.g., MicroStation)
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate clearly with clients, and manage multiple projects
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
Experience with municipal bridge programs, small-span structures, and emergency repairs
NBI inspection experience and/or familiarity with FHWA compliance procedures
Active involvement in professional organizations such as ASCE, BSCES, or SEI.
