Our award-winning team of licensed engineers and engineering professionals deliver innovative and technically sound structural solutions tailored to a wide range of client needs. We provide comprehensive structural design and assessment services for both new construction and renovation projects. Our expertise encompasses a full spectrum of building materials, including wood, concrete, steel, and masonry. Our projects include treatment and industrial facilities, commercial developments, residential homes, and historic preservation. Our Structural Team takes pride in providing technically sound, practical, safe and effective engineering solutions for complex real-world challenges. 

Responsibilities, Requirements, and Total Rewards

What You’ll Be Doing

As a valuable part of our Structural Building Services team, a Project Manager will support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as: 

  • Create and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resources. Oversee all phases from concept through construction
  • Serve as primary liaison between the internal Tighe & Bond team, and external clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring alignment and project momentum
  • Perform and supervise the design of structural systems using concrete, steel, wood, and masonry to meet applicable codes and project goals
  • Work closely with in-house MEP, civil, and environmental teams to integrate structural solutions into cohesive project designs
  • Conduct site visits, review submittals, respond to RFIs, and participate in structural assessments and field meetings
  • Conduct internal reviews and lead quality control efforts to ensure structural integrity, technical accuracy, and compliance with codes and standards
  • Support the growth and development of junior engineers and designers by providing technical guidance, project insight, and leadership

What You’ll Need  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g. ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, RISA, RAMsteel or Tekla Structures).
  • Strong knowledge of building and design codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, and NDS.
  • Experience in designing multiple structural materials (e.g. steel, CMU, concrete, timber).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience managing structural design projects
  • Experience managing historic renovation or adaptive reuse projects
  • Familiarity with state and local permitting processes
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as SEI, ASCE, or NCSEA
  • Experience serving both public and private sector clients
  • LEED accreditation or an interest in sustainable and resilient design
